Architectural Quality Assurance & Documentation Manager

JCB is seeking an experienced Architectural Quality Assurance and Documentation Manager. This role will suit an experienced architect and is focused on QA management and architectural documentation quality control.     

About the role

Based in our creative studio in Richmond, you’ll be part of a collaborative and inclusive team environment.

In this role, you’ll be overseeing the Quality Assurance of all projects and develop standards to streamline project progression. You’ll be managing our ongoing ISO 9001 accreditation and ongoing QA and QMS review and procedures.

You’ll be working collaboratively across the practice, including liaison with management, sector leaders and project architects.

About you

You're an experienced architect (extensive QA Certified large practice experience preferred).

To be successful in this role you'll need:

  • Experience in QA / documentation control
  • Knowledge and experience of project management systems and processes
  • Experience with complex building projects
  • Sound computer skills (experience with Aconex and MS Project preferred)
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills
  • Capacity to work as part of a team or autonomously 
  • A collaborative approach to teamwork

Salary commensurate with experience.

Senior Project Architect

JCB is seeking an exceptional Senior Project Architect with demonstrated experience delivering high quality / recognised projects.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10+ years’ experience and work collaboratively to deliver exciting, design-focused projects. Experience in complex multi residential projects will be looked upon favourably. Candidates should be able to demonstrate strong construction and technical knowledge and the ability to deliver quality documentation in a team based, collaborative environment.

About the role

Based in our creative studio in Richmond, you’ll be part of a collaborative and inclusive team environment. The role includes:

- Working collaboratively with the Design Director and Associate Director
- Leading a team on large scale projects ($50M+) through all stages
- Managing clients, consultants and team members
- Leading program, scope changes, drawing packages etc. to high quality outcomes
- Preparing documentation to a high degree of accuracy
- Assisting in timely preparation of construction detailing and documentation

About you

You're an experienced individual with strong Revit skills and able to apply design, design development and construction knowledge to projects. To be successful in this role you'll need:

- Experience on large scale projects
- Experience working from concept design to project delivery
- Proven background of medium to large scale projects
- Knowledge of planning and approval processes – BCA, DDA, TP
- NCC and Australian Standards working knowledge
- Strong communication skills and experience liaising with clients and contractors
- Capacity to work as part of a team or autonomously
