Located at Gasworks Arts Park, this new Performing Arts Centre will be a state-of-the art performance and rehearsal space for students from APC and VCASS that can be shared with the wider community.

Demand for places at APC and VCASS continues to rise. This facility will enable APC to free up existing campus space. It will also give the state’s premier arts school, VCASS, a dedicated home theatre with sufficient seating and rehearsal spaces to deliver its high-end dance, music and theatre arts programs and show its productions to the broader community.

The Centre will provide both a tangible and intangible connection between the building and the park itself, engaging with it directly by spilling performances out to the south of the site.

The design respectfully responds to the heritage of the Gasworks and neighbouring ornate brickwork buildings.
